TransTech Employee Transition Program
As a 100% US-based Company, TransTech is fully committed to the well-being and success of our nationwide domestic workforce. The purpose of the Employee Transition Program is to provide meaningful and rewarding career opportunities to medical transcriptionists (MTs) currently employed by the healthcare facility for which TransTech Medical Solutions is to begin providing outsourced transcription services.
The Employee Transition Program is designed to ease the transition of client-employed MTs to becoming employees of TransTech Medical Solutions and working in a home-based environment. The key elements of the program include:
- Each employee is assigned to a dedicated account manager who will act as a mentor in helping to ease the transition.
- TransTech recognizes the employees’ seniority with the facility. This is greatly beneficial for benefits purposes, such as accumulation of paid time off, which is calculated based on length of service.
- MTs have their former employer’s account assigned to them as their primary account. This is beneficial to the MTs, TransTech and the client, as they are well-versed in the subtleties of the facility and its dictators.
- In addition to their primary account, the MTs are assigned a secondary account for which they are fully trained. This is beneficial in the event their primary account has periods of slowness. In those instances, they have another account on which they are already trained on which they can work until their primary account increases in volume.
The transition itself begins with an on-site meeting at the facility, typically approximately 30 days prior to the go-live date, during which TransTech’s senior management team personally meets with the affected employees. During this initial meeting, TransTech clearly imparts the importance of retaining each and every person. On-boarding documentation including offer letters and benefits information is distributed, followed by a question & answer session. Individual follow-up communication is offered and encouraged.
In summary, the Employee Transition Program is designed to provide a successful outcome for both the healthcare facility and its affected employees. It assures the facility that their former employees will be in good hands with a 100% US-based organization; and it affords the transcriptionists a path for continuing to utilize their knowledge of the facility while gaining additional professional opportunities.
